Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

VIENNA, Austria — 23 December 2025 — Volunteers linked to Foundation for a Drug-Free school drug education World Austria have expanded outreach in Vienna, engaging young people, parents and teachers through street information stands and event-based activities. The Vienna effort is led by Gabriele Toker, a local organiser, the initiative uses “Truth About Drugs” materials to present clear information on commonly abused substances, with particular attention to cannabis, often cited as Europe’s most commonly used illicit drug. A short report is available via a Scientology Europe report.

According to organisers, the Vienna activities focus on early prevention, including at large public gatherings such as the Donauinselfest, while also connecting with educators interested in classroom-ready resources. Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the European institutions and the United Nations, noted: “Prevention works best when young people receive verified information early, in plain language—strengthening public health and civic responsibility.”
