Members of the Scientology religion internationally celebrated the 2026 birthday of L. Ron Hubbard in an event that united celebration thousands from dozens of countries. The celebration highlighted the presentation of the restored La Estrella landmark site in the Canary Islands, a place of special importance in Scientology history, as well as a new educational initiative designed to make Scientology principles more accessible to children in 25 languages.
The celebration further reflected Scientology’s sustained focus on preserving its heritage while educating future generations. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, said that the combination of the Canary Islands landmark and the new children’s materials reflected how a tradition remains alive when its history is preserved and its values are passed on responsibly. The 2026 commemoration thus presented Scientology’s past, present and future as part of one connected narrative.
